These works fall in between trompe l’œil and abstraction, each piece is a silicone mould made of knitted sweaters. The titles identify them as women simplifying their identity to garments. I’ve always felt the urge to root abstraction in the mundane of life. In order to emphasize that abstract thinking is a danger if it fails to incorporate the dynamic that is life.
